Providing hope & help to those in need in Monroe & Union County
As much as you did it to these the least of my brothers & sisters, you did it to me.” (Matthew 25:40)
Programs & Projects
To provide spiritual and physical help and hope to those in need, with the encouraging and loving heart of Christ and without judgment or cynicism.
We aim to glorify God through our daily interactions with those who come through our doors with any and every need. We seek to share the gospel through our daily lunch and Bible study; offer financial support, emergency shelter, household goods and food assistance for those in crisis; and provide material and educational support for those seeking employment. As needed, we will accomplish our goals through strong partnerships with area churches and other Union County ministries and organizations.
Donations are much appreciated and go a long way towards helping those in need. Thank you for considering a tax-deductible donation to Operation Reach Out to support these projects and programs.

100% of your donation goes to providing back-to-school needs for local kids. Our current big need is for navy, red, hunter green, and black polo shirts for Monroe Middle School.
Mission: to provide furniture, beds and household items to those moving into a home for the first time or have been burned out of their existing home. Your donations of gently used furniture, kitchen items, towels and linens can make a difference in the life of a family!
Mission: to minister to the spiritual and physical needs of those who are struggling by providing a weekday Bible study followed by a nourishing lunch. We are always looking for individuals, church groups, or restaurants that would like to be a part of this ministry...as well as persons to teach.
CRISIS NEEDS $$
Mission: to help with the crisis needs of those who enter our facility. We assist with energy bills, medicine, gasoline, etc. and a variety of other needs. This is where we need monetary donations.
Mission: to provide emergency food boxes for those in need. We appreciate food drives and donations. We are always especially in need of dry goods such as cereals, beans, rice, etc.
SHOWERS & LAUNDRY
Mission: to provide hot showers for the homeless and a washer/dryer to clean their clothes. We are always in need of hotel-size shampoos/conditioners, laundry detergent and dryer sheets.
Mission: to provide clothing, and shoes for those in need. We gladly accept seasonally appropriate donations towards keeping our shelves full.

COVID-19 UPDATE - March 30,2020
During this uncertain time, Operation Reach-Out Remains committed to our community. We have adopted the recommended sanitation practices to ensure staff and clients remain safe as possible. Employees and volunteers are asked not to come in if they have any signs of sickness. We ask for prayers as we continue to meet the needs of those in our community.
Our food pantry is in desperate need of non-perishable food items (any canned veggies, soups, fruits, meats, dry goods such as cereal, grits, oatmeal, spaghetti & sauce, macaroni & cheese or any pasta, dry beans , peanut butter and jelly)
Our store, Finders Keepers is closed until further notice. Because sales from Finders Keepers supports the ministries of Operation Reach-Out, financial donations are appreciated!
For clients needing food, you will need to obtain a referral from a supporting agency (Dept of Social Services, School counselor or social worker, Council on Aging, Novant or Atrium, Crisis Assistance) and call our office to schedule and appointment. Due to limited resources and client/staff safety, clients cannot be seen on a walk in basis. Thank you for helping us continue to serve our community.
